When I was going through my cancer journey, Holy Spirit spoke to me one day with waiting is a verb. He reminded me of Isaiah 40:31, where it says,
but those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Renew is a verb, and so is soar. Running and walking are movements too … so I got to thinking about what else I do while I’m waiting on the Lord:
Praying, fasting, trusting, healing, abiding, and the list goes on. Waiting is not passive. Waiting on the Lord is active.
I love this blog post that my friend shared on this very thought. This resonates with me and I pray it blesses you.
